| Susan has studied with Mr. Cameron Ashton in Performance and Speech for more than 5 years. With his coaching Susan was able to obtain her Associate Diploma in Performance, Speech and Drama from Trinity College London, England.
During Susan's many years in Theater she has trained with many notable Directors and Actors, one of whom is the world famous and award-winning Mr. Michael Dobson who kindly helped Susan record a professional Voice Over Demo CD. michaelricharddobson.com.
Susan also studied with Miss Jean Oxby who is a teacher of elocution and the speech arts and while studying with Jean, she won the Best Performer in the Victoria Performing Arts Festival in the Speech and Drama Division.
Susan is an accomplished and award winning actor who has been in theater for over twenty years, and has been involved in both comic and dramatic roles. She has appeared in award-winning short films, and also on radio, Susan is presently sitting on the board of Directors of the Peninsula Players Theatre Group in an advisory capacity, peninsulaplayers.bc.ca/ .
Over the years Susan has become an accomplished story-book reader. By combining her theater training and use of voices she has created what she likes to call “Story Book Theater” Susan has spent many happy hours reading both drama, comedy, and children’s stories to those in Long Term Care and Hospice.
Susan is a licensed Child Care Worker and has also spent countless hours reading to children. She has also studied child psychology and has a great understanding of children and hopes to bring this experience to her voice over work that is related to children.
Over the years Susan has developed a wide range of character voices and accents, becoming both a character voice and accent coach.
